本当に勉強ができない人は読み書き計算が出来ません

勉強のできない人から職を奪う生き方の提案
露悪的に書きますと、日本人の半分は大学に進学できません。それは多くの場合、金銭の問題ではなく能力の問題です。では日本人の半分が飢えて死ぬかといえば、さにあらず。勉強ができない人には体力に自信のない人も多い。だからいわゆる過酷な肉体労働だけで生きていっているわけでもない。じゃあ彼らが何をして生きているのかを考えてほしいわけですよ。

「大卒の俺様がそんな仕事をするなんて!」といったプライドと無縁の人が、勉強ができない人の職域に入り込めば、気楽に暮らしていけます。そういった世界のありようを、梅田さんは書かない。私は梅田さんを批判したいのではありません。梅田さんの文章は、ある種の層に向けて書かれた文章です。私が書いているような低いレベルまでフォローできないのは当然なんです。ただ、梅田さんの読者には「自分は梅田さんの文章の対象読者層なのかな?」と考えてほしいのです。

梅田望夫さんが見ている、どこか遠い世界
日本において新卒者が「就職先がない」というのと同様のウソ。何だってよければ仕事自体はあるわけです。

今、うちの職場で一番高い学歴を持っているのは事務員さんで、都の西北の某大学卒。正社員ではなく派遣社員。

もったいないと思う人は多いでしょうが、私はそう考えない。余裕をもって仕事をして、気楽に生きていくという幸せの形がある。私の母がそうでした。高校時代、トップクラスの成績を誇りながら進学せず、就職。10年くらい働き、簡単な仕事を簡単にこなして楽しく旅行などしていたわけです。そして非才の父と見合い結婚し、あっさり専業主婦におさまりました。

才能を十全に発揮することに関心がなく、結婚相手まで非才の人を選んだ母は、しかしこれまでの50余年、幸せな人生を送ってきたと思います。当人も常々そう語っているし、周囲の声も同じ。世の中には、こうした幸せの形があります。

音楽や野球や将棋の仕事での役に立たなさと比較して、お勉強はまだしも役立ちます。漢字が読めるだけで全然違う。新聞記事が読める、2桁×2桁を暗算できる、地理・歴史・政経などの素養がある、パソコンのトラブルにある程度まで自力で対処できる、これらの能力があるとないとでは大違いです。梅田さんはご存じないかもしれませんが、本当に勉強ができない人は、これらのことができません。

話のレベルが低すぎますか?　そうかもしれません。しかし私はそれなりの大学を院試免除（学科のみ）が公示される成績で卒業しましたが、四国4県の県庁所在地を全部いえたら「賢い人」に分類されるような世界に生きています。

この話がおもしろいのは、やっぱり、自分は上の立場（いわゆる高学歴）という位置を公表しつつ、高学歴の視点で一見同じ高学歴を批判しているように見受けられる文章であるのがおもしろい。

それに梅田さんはご存じないかもしれませんが、本当に勉強ができない人は、これらのことができません。この辺もおもいしろい。社会活動の基本というか、読み書き計算？ができない何も出来ないという人がフィクションではなく事実日本にも大勢いるという事を、教えているという図がおもしろい。若干それらが出来ない種類の人間に対しても、プライドをくすぐるので絶妙だなという感じ。

わたし自身も、なんか未成熟っぽい産業の高給職（実際がどうであれ）っぽい仕事に就いた方がいいのかな、なんて悩んではいますし。旧態依然とした、仕事にも別になんら悪くは無いとおもってはいるが。前記は給与やプライドというか地位？、後記はあきらめ？という感じを感じる。
